Hello ladies, after taking some time off to conduct interviews and develop interesting topics for the second series of my blog, I am back and refreshed! I'm ready to rock and roll.....it's full steam ahead! In this amazing world we live in, we all need to hit the reset button occasionally. Do you ever sit back and wonder how things seem to align in the end? We might find ourselves in a place where it feels like the universe has positioned us in a particular space at the right moment. This has actually happened to me numerous times throughout my life. This in fact brings to mind and serves as an introduction to the beautiful spirit that happened to cross my path almost three years ago.

BETTY MURRAY is a beautiful spirit with whom I crossed paths almost three years ago. We both agreed that this most definitely is what is called a "divine connection." I was attending an outdoor evening concert alone, waiting for R & B singing group Sister Sledge to perform. I stood next to Betty, who first complimented me on a hat that I was wearing.

As Sister Sledge began to perform, Betty and I danced and sang along to some of Sister Sledge's hit songs. Before you know it, we had our arms around each other's shoulders, just having us a good ole time. Betty's friend videotaped us. After the concert, amidst the noisy crowd dispersing, I remember shouting my name to Betty. Usually, I have to say my last name at least twice to folks, but upon me returning home, she managed to find me on Facebook, and sent me a Facebook friend request, and we have been friends ever since. Of course, I posted on FB a video of our first encounter singing and dancing to the music.

We met up for lunch a couple of weeks later, and the rest is history! Betty is a wife, a mother, and a grandmother, and is the quintessential matriarch of her beautiful family.

Betty is the Energizer Bunny just in human form. She's a delightful, sweet, kind, and giving person who is easy to make friends with. I wanted to interview Betty because her life had a very challenging start. As an only child, she revealed her parents didn't want her, leading to her enduring physical, mental, and emotional abuse. Enduring the unimaginable and downright despicable at the hands of her father, she later had to care for him in his elderly years. A very difficult and challenging task, as anyone could imagine. However, despite her tough childhood, Betty remains spiritual and prayerful. I met Ms. Betty when my husband's health was steadily declining, and it felt truly like divine intervention. During her interview, she mentioned serving Communion for 23 years at a nursing facility. She's an active member of the Metairie Garden Club and has won several awards throughout the years. Her resilience is truly remarkable! Betty advised that she wanted to share her story with full transparency as a testament to what her life was and what it has become. This indeed was part of her "PURPOSE' in wanting to share with us. The tenacity shown by her in handling unimaginable situations is unwavering, as is her faith. I'm truly blessed to have met Ms. Betty; our immediate connection proved to be the absolute ultimate divine connection, as we even discovered that our astrological signs aligned. We are both Leos, sharing similar qualities and core values, which in turn made our connection feel even more divine. When we encounter these kinds of connections in life, be it romantically or in friendships, we recognize them instantly. We, without a doubt, know that God has his hand in it, and that alone makes it special. Betty Murray, with all you've endured and have overcome, a story of SALVATION and GLORY........ you are truly ALL THINGS DIVINE!
