Well, hello ladies, how's it going? Hoping all is well with everyone. The saying "the sun will come out tomorrow" may be cliché, but isn't it so befitting that we have learned this as we journey through life? You know there are times when we are hit with things that we have absolutely no control over. Certainly, at this age, we already know that life doesn't always go as planned. We found out that we must make adjustments and adapt. We discovered that there is no need to panic when life throws us for a loop and that we must simply sit back, reevaluate, adjust, and figure out a plan B when plan A has seemingly failed, sometimes even going to plan C. Being able to be flexible and also learning to cope with whatever may come our way is definitely a life skill that must be cultivated and mimicked to this up-and-coming younger generation. Stopping is definitely not an option!
In fact, certainly it's wasn't the end of the world when we have had to do this in our personal or even business/professional lives throughout our years. Again it also exhibits coping skills. We have survived it al! . However, we must continue in this practice even as we get older. For a lot of us at this point in our lives, it's us being rooted in our spiritual upbringing and beliefs. We therefore had no choice but to take this approach right? We couldn't afford to stop and just give up. We learn to remain cool, calm, and collected, and ask for discernment and guidance from God. We may have to pivot, but we definitely can not STOP! To stop means to be stagnant. To be stagnant means to cease activity, and who wants a cease in activity of any kind, certainly not me. Nothing grows being stagnant—that is the mind, body and the spirit. Even in later years, most of us are still pivoting, but it's all okay! The folks who have learned to accept this and have learned how to pivot, are the persons that most likely have succeeded in accomplishing their goals.
I am sure most of us have had to do this at different intervals in our lives. We learned resilience. For a lot of us, it is also rooted in our spiritual upbringing and beliefs. We know even though we may have had to take a different path, we still continued moving forward. This could mean even in our health journey, etc. Medical professionals do it all the time in redirecting, taking a different approaches in even solving medical issues that some of us may experience. What has worked for you years ago may not be as beneficial as it once was. Whatever it is at this point in our lives that needs redirecting, do it! As women, now of a "certain age", we especially have been good at this, but sometimes we do get discouraged because we have been doing it for so long. Of course we do get weary, but ladies please don't stop because we still have a lot of life to live, and it is up to us if we choose to grow or wither. In addition our adult children and grandkids are watching, and they too may need direction in learning "how" to pivot in certain situations. So ladies, in summarizing, please PIVOT, but by all means please but do not... STOP!
